The 'Plot', Gardening and Turkeys
The 'Plot':
Now is the time to buy bags of compost if you need them for the Spring and Summer months. Plenty of bargains out there. Not a good time to work on your 'plot' just now as the temperature is below freezing and the soil frozen. But it won't be frozen for long.
You will need plenty of pots and now is the time to start looking around for them. If folk know you are after empty flower pots then undoubtedly their stacks of pots sitting redundantly in garages, sheds and greenhouses will be gifted to you. You just have to ask. And once your plot is fully established and you start selling home-grown plants, those who buy from you will also give you their empty pots. That's the way of the world.

Gardening:
Re-starts again after the holiday on Monday January 5th. Christmas gifts include new gloves and a couple of woolly hats. That's me well set up.

Turkey and pies article:
Here is a link to a Turkey article which is particularly irrelevent at this time of year only it does mention Turkeys of course!
